Sebastian Jauregui is a Colombian Pop/Dance artist. He’s been making musical his life experimenting with several sounds and music genres. His goal has always been to make art pieces with sounds and also letting his brain get pregnant through his senses. He believes that we all have a creative womb inside our brain waiting to engender art. He grew up listening to soul, pop, r&b, gospel, blues and jazz music and later, by the time he graduated school,he began to experiment with electro-pop-rock, dance, and alternative sounds.He writes, produces, sings and directs every single second of his musical and visual work.
He believes that pushing boundaries is the most exciting way to evolve as an artist, that’s why he created his live show called “Electro Madness” inspired by pop art, sex, freedom glimpses, 60′s underground films made in Andy Warhol’s “factory” and avant garde films in which he mixes visual art, based in old days underground productions, with commercial music to celebrate pop as a genre and as a lifestyle. He also wants people to release their souls and mindswith his show.
“There’s nothing wrong with reseting your brain once in a while, and letting music and art posses your mind and soul. No matter if you’re making orange juice in your best friend’s place or if you’re climbing up the Everest, music’s everywhere waiting to invade your heart…Like the Flu”.
His latest work named “Plastic Beats” is also a reflection of his obsession with Pop culture and art. It embraces his vision of the synthetic illusion intrinsic in the musical scene nowadays. He created it in Silver Nebula, a place where everybody dances inside of silver boxes while chewing Plastic Beats.
Sebastian Jauregui wants you to eat, breathe, drink and inject his musical proposal, his distinctive vocals and his visual art, so you can all be a part of the celebration in which he’s working on every single second of his devoted life to Pop.
